Points System

NOT CURRENTLY IN OPERATION

A (lengthy) explanation of the Points System:

Please note that any reference to the Recruitment Chief reporting completion of point-rewarding activities is currently incorrect; these are self-report!

Ranks

Whilst members in Ranked positions of Admin and above are appointed, all other Ranks can be earned through the Points System. These lower ranks are cosmetic only; a General has the same privileges as a Recruit, although this won’t necessarily always be the case. What they do, signify, however, is your experience in, and dedication to, the Clan.

The points required are as follows:

General - 2000 points
Captain - 1000 points
Lieutenant - 250 points
Sergeant - 100 points
Corporal - 20 points and have joined the Runesprogs website.
Recruit - 0 points (All new members)

Earning Points

Points can be earned in a number of ways:

Helping the Clan

This is the easiest way of gaining points. Points are awarded for certain acts which either help the clan to grow or contribute to a better experience for other clan members.

  • Bumping the clan thread earns a member 1 point per bump up to a maximum of 3 points a day.
  • Finding a new member who stays active within the clan for at least a fortnight earns a member 3 points.

Both of the above are reported to the Clan Leader by the Recruitment Chief and are awarded weekly.

  • Hosting an event earns a player 8 points. For this to count, the event must be registered in the ‘Events’ section of our site and evidence that it went ahead is required. Evidence need only be a senior member of the Clan (Admin+) verifying that the Event did take place or simply a screenshot sent to the Clan Leader.

Other acts may be rewardable with points in the future.

Special Services to the Clan

Additional awards of 5, 10, 20 or 50 points can be awarded by the Leader for special services to the clan and can be shown off in your RSP sig (Multiples can be obtained). There is no fixed criteria for these ‘services’.

Sproglet Service Award - 5 points
Sprog Badge of Honour - 10 points
Sprog Camaraderie Sigil - 20 points
Sprog Grand Medallion - 50 points

Loyalty

If you have stayed active in the clan for at least a year, you will be awarded with 25 points. This is a self-report award; if you realise that you have been in the clan for a year, it is required that you send a message to the Clan Leader (Drasnian Elf), who will verify it and award you the points. Please note that this is verified by your RSP account being at least a year old.

One exception to this is if you were an existing member when this system was introduced (22nd August). In this case, you will have been awarded the following points depending on how long you had already been in the clan:

< 6 months - 5 points
6 months - 25 points
1 year - 50 points
2 years+ - 100 points

If this applies to you, and you were awarded with either 5 or 25 points (for under a year’s membership), you should still notify the Clan Leader once you have reached a year’s membership in order to receive an additional 25 points.

Recruiters

A Recruiter has certain duties within the clan (details of which can be found here). They are, however, rewarded for these duties.

If a player is a Recruiter, the number of points outlined below override any number of points described above.

  • Recruiters can earn up to 6 points a week for their forum hunting. This figure is decided by the Clan Leader each week based on the Recruitment Chief’s weekly report on their activity on the RSOF.
  • Instead of receiving 3 points per member recruited to the clan who has stayed for at least a fortnight, as per the normal points structure, a Recruiter is rewarded with 5 points/recruit.
