This Is A Guide On The Fishing Trawler Mini-Game
This is a short guide on how to be good at the fishing trawler and also how to solo the trawler. I will include what you might get as your reward and what exp you can get from the jobs on board the boat.

The Game
The idea of the game is to keep the boat a float from a total of 12 minutes. If you do you will be rewarded with a share of the catch. If you sink you will have to climb on a barrel and kick yourself to shore just north of port khazard. Just walk south and go again if you do sink you will lose your catch!
Teams
Ok there are 3 main jobs on board they will be listed below also the items I recommend you have for each of them.
- Bailer - 20 Bail buckets, 100 swamp paste, 4 rope.
- Pluger - 1500 Swamp paste, About 10k from restocking,
- Netter - 20 Ropes 100 swamp paste, About 50k for restocking.
- Hybid - 12 Bail buckets, 14 Rope, 600 Swamp paste, about 100k for restocking
Ok now you know what job’s there are you need to work out which one you would be best suited to do.
Remember each member of the team is just as important as the other. If one of you falls we all fall and get very wet.
What Each Job Does
Ok here is a list of what each job does and what to look out for:
- Bailer - This is the simplest job to do. First you wont have anything to do till the boat is about 1/5 sunk the click you last bail bucket and just keep clicking you buckets will all fill and then empty over the side of the boat. An optional extra would be to plug the holes till the you can bail.
- Plugger - This can be hard or easy depending on how good you are and how many people are plugging holes. If there are more then 1 person plugging then pick sides is you have an odd number then 1 person just float about and fill in where they can. Although you got sides always help each other out.
- Netter - Ok this is a simple job all you have to is stand up next to the net and fix it when is breaks once ever 5 or 6 time you not be able to fix the net but try again and normal you will fix it within 2 or 3 attempts. If you find you feel your not doing enough then go down and help bail.
- Hybrid -Ok this is the hardest of all jobs, if you are good at this game then it is recommended that you do this. Your job is to do everything that is needed to be done. You will be running around and doing something at all times. If your not always doing something your not doing the job right!
Ok so pick your job from above and if you stick to them you will do great!
If you all work together as a team you will do this with ease!
Soloing
Ok to solo this game you need to be able to own it within a team! You need to be able to hybrid with ease or it is a waste of time and you will just sink!
You will need all the kit a hybrid needs plus 200 more swamp paste, If you stick to the below order of jobs you should be ok. Once you have finished 3 or 4 trips you will know the best way from you, once you found how you feel is right then stick to that way.
Ok if you stick to this you will be fine:
- Plug - if you plug first when there is no water coming processed.
- Bail - bail till you have water coming in the idea is to stop the water coming in and get it out once it is in.
- Netting - ok people always tell me that you need the net more then plugging but you can float without a net with a haul fall of water you will sink and you would have wasted your trip. Fix the net as soon as you have 1 or 2 leaks any more then you will be sinking quick then you can bail.
Its simple enough but sometimes it will be hard others it will be easy, just keep at it. Once you have mastered going by yourself then take a team and hybrid. You will become an in valuable member of a team!
You must do all the job or you will just sink!
The rewards when you solo are the same as if you had gone with a team. But you do share it you will get all your catch.
Rewards
Ok you get the following from this mini-game:
- Sea Fish up to the level that you fish, Included manta rays and sea turtles!
- Damaged Amour, Can be used on an amour stand and will turn into a random metal amour,
- Rusty Sword, Can be used on an amour stand or sold to Tindel merchant.
You also get the exp from the fish you catch. Ie: if you get 10 lobsters you get the exp from catching 10 lobster.
