Next time you’re killing moss giants and you see players leaving watermelon seeds, pick them up! The humble watermelon is neglected by many farmers. Amazingly though, it can be one of the fastest ways to get farming experience.
Today I harvested 38 watermelons from one allotment. At 54.5xp per melon that’s 2071xp from three seeds! And when you consider that watermelon seeds are not uncommon, and they don’t take a day to mature, they compare favourably with higher tree seeds. As your farming level rises you can expect fairly high yields of watermelons. At lvl 69 I average over 20 watermelons per crop.
These melons can then be used to make super compost.
The payment to a farmer for looking after your melon crop is ten curry leaves. I recommend having a curry tree in Catherby and picking leaves regularly. Watermelons left unattended have a high failure rate.
